Creating Orders

Last updated 2 years ago

The Aurox Terminal supports 3 categories of exchanges:

  • Centralized Spot Markets

  • Centralized Futures Markets

  • Decentralized Spot Markets

For all 3 of the categories, the Aurox Terminal supports a variety of order types.

Below is a list of some of the order types:

  • Limit order: The most common type of order, it buys or sells a cryptocurrency at a specified price. The advantage of a limit order is that you can control the price at which your trade is executed. However, the disadvantage is that your trade may not be executed if the market price never reaches your limit price.

  • Market order: Immediately buy or sell a cryptocurrency at the best available price. The advantage of a market order is that it will be executed immediately. However, the disadvantage is that you may not get the price you want.

  • Stop limit orders: Buy or sell a cryptocurrency once it reaches a certain price. The advantage of a stop-limit order is that you can control the price at which your trade is executed. However, the disadvantage is that your trade may not be executed if the market price never reaches your stop limit price.

  • Cross margin orders: Allows you to use leverage to trade with more money than you have in your account. The advantage of cross margin orders is that they can help you make more profit from your trades. However, the disadvantage is that it can also lead to greater losses if the market moves against you. Aurox enables cross-margin orders with up to 3x leverage.

  • Isolated margin orders: This Lets you trade with more money than you have in your account, but only uses part of your account balance as collateral. The advantage of an isolated margin order is that it can help you make more profit from your trades while limiting your risk exposure. However, the disadvantage is that it can also lead to greater losses if the market moves against you. In the Aurox Terminal’s isolated orders can have up to 10x leverage.

From the Aurox Terminal, you can easily create orders for any connected exchanges. It’s also possible to edit existing orders, for example, to adjust the price or position size.
